President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has invited the family of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to visit the White House.

He mentioned that he conversed with her family and they were “heartbroken”.

The president stated he’s discussed a White House visit for the parents of both individuals of the state Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, arrive at the White House. We’re going to recognize Sarah,” the president informed reporters. “And in the same way with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Mourners came together over the weekend at Webster County high school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been serving with the state guard as part of Trump’s federal initiative to assist policing efforts in DC.

She carried herself with quiet strength, a warm expression and a positive energy that inspired those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the principal of Beckstrom’s alma mater, informed the media. “She was sweet, considerate and always eager to support those in need.”

Officials have accused a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of murder and charges of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.
