Three In Contention for Young Sports Star Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Athlete of the Year award.
The trio have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The three contenders were announced live on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be aired from 7 PM GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
