This game has not quite been able to equal its most famous rival in terms of revenue or user base, but there are signs the latest version could narrow the difference.

An early access weekend allowing users a opportunity to try out the title not long ago achieved milestones, and the excitement heading into its launch has been huge.

Yet the undertaking is nonetheless a major gamble for publisher its creators, which has allegedly invested huge sums of dollars producing it.

Reporters have spoken to several the makers to discover how they hope it will succeed.

Development Team and Developer Partnership

A total of four development houses are working on the game under the collaborative umbrella.

Learning From Previous Shortcomings

One of those lessons was to get players participating from the start, and the team initiated invite-only fan testing sessions earlier this year.

Their "reaction was explosively favorable," comments she.

A further missing component from the last game was a solo experience, which has been reintroduced in this version.

Criterion creative lead Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the individual responsible for "guaranteeing those levels are as enjoyable and compelling as can be for the audience."

In spite of reports that the size of the game had created pressure for the multiple developers working together globally to develop the game, Fas is upbeat about the endeavor.

"Partnering with varied perspectives, varied heritages, it's a very interesting atmosphere to be engaged with every day," he says.

"This whole method has been an innovation but also really thrilling because we are collaborating with individuals from around the globe."

Concerning the pressure on the crew, the director comments: "We feel pressure but also it's motivating.

"It's a big project. It's arguably the largest that many of us have before participated in."
