I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
