Football Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by the Black Cats before the global hiatus, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' new album, the new release, is out on the weekend.
Soccer and Parenting Experiences
Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.
"{I actually played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football team," he said.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is now more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be quite close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.
West Ham's sole away win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can West Ham continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?
I will choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.
My son told me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much fortune on the road this season, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be rather close. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six matches.
They have have lots of talent in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.
As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.
However I am not do that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.
Looking at Fulham's home form, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
Olly's choice: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
