Passionate supporters of the actress are urging that a person who jumped a barrier and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Record of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram feed contains clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Many of Singapore attendees had waited to meet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a dual interpretation of the well-known stage show Wicked, which centers on the unexpected relationship between two distinct witches.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and received a dozen Academy Award nods, earning two for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
